Natural beauty is all around us.

Sometimes we see the grand scale, from a shoreline, a seaside cliff, or a mountain trail.
Other times, we see it in the fine details of a flower.

Both are there to be appreciated - we just have to look.

I’m JohN


I was born and raised in the Midwest and moved to California later in life - a place I'd always dreamed of seeing and experiencing. Pebble Beach, Big Sur, the Pacific Coast Highway, and Carmel had long been on my Bucket List and I count myself blessed to see and photograph all of them.

Relationship with nature


I grew up close to a large local park with glacial lakes and rocks, which instilled a life-long love of nature, landscapes, and the smell of the forest after the rain.

Photography


If nature is my first true love, photography became my second one. It started with images of Korea while I was an expat there, and blossomed into an obsession that redefined the way I view the world.

Interesting Fact


I spent much of my life bringing automotive components and programs into production.


Exploring this artistic side of myself has been a refreshing change as I move into my second act.
